The Moulinage du Sablas is a small scale holiday resort, located in a beautiful part of the Ardèche on the edge of the river Auzène. It offers peace and quiet, a place where you can relax and enjoy nature with ample opportunity for exploring, walking and rambling, swimming in the river and cycling.
In the grounds are two buildings: the 'Moulinage' (a former silk factory) and the 'Ferme' (an old farmhouse), with accommodation for our guests. We keep goats and sheep ,who roam and feed freely in the mountains. We make cheese from the goats’ milk, grow our own vegetables and the chickens provide us with daily eggs.
The Moulinage is enjoyable throughout the year. The temperature in spring is ideal for walking and cycling. In summer you can swim in the river, and meals and BBQ’s can be enjoyed outside until late in the evening. In autumn the water level in the river is much higher and you can experience the wild and isolated character of the Ardèche. In winter, when it can be rather cold, you can go skiing in the nearby mountains, which are only one hour’s drive away.
We therefore welcome guests all the year round.
